Mr. Perry M. Brown Jr . age 83 passed away Sunday March 10, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. Mr. Brown was a native of Tattnall County and had lived in Reidsville most of his life. He served with the Georgia State Patrol and retired as a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. He also served as the Chief Deputy with the Tattnall County Sheriff’s Office. He was a member of the Georgia Peace Officers Association. He loved to fish, hunt and shoot his weapons. Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his wife Christine Gordy Brown.
He is survived by his children, Tommy (Leslie) Brown of Cartersville, Fred (Candace) Brown, Jimmy (Shannon) Brown all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Brown, Matt (Felisha) Brown, Shawn Brown, and Hunter Brown; two great grandchildren, Gavin Brown and Parker Brown; several nieces and nephews
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm Tuesday from the Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Wednesday March 13, 2013 from the Reidsville Chapel of Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery with honors rendered by the Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Sapp, Don Jarriel, Buzz Cromer, Walt Rogers, Dustin Bass and David Dreggors
Honorary Pallbearers will be all law enforcement, Department of Corrections and the Reidsville Fire Depatment.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be given to Norrie Disease Association, PO Box 3244, Munster, IN 46321
