Rachel "Lady" Fowler Cole

Rachel “Lady” Fowler Cole, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Tattnall Health Care in Reidsville. She was born in Winnsboro, SC on October 27, 1937, to Walter and Rachel Barbee Fowler and had lived in North Carolina for many years before moving to Reidsville 30 years ago. She was a retired seamstress. Lady loved to tend to her flowers, read and enjoyed being on Facebook. She is a member of Friendship Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Posey Cole; and her siblings, Sidney Fowler, Wilbur Fowler, Babe Fowler and Kate Fowler Strickland.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, George “Eddie” and Teresa Cole of Reidsville and her brother and sister-in-law, George “Joe” and Virginia Fowler of Reidsville, several nieces and nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Friendship Baptist Church with the Reverends Rick Darby and Wes Collins officiating.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Hospice of South Georgia.
