Ronald Charles Ragan, Sr.

Low Country Cremation and Burial announce the death of Ronald "Ronnie" C. Ragan, Sr., age 79, who passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Green Acres Health and Rehabilitation under the care of Affinis Hospice. Ronnie was born on March 15, 1946, to William Charles Ragan, Jr. and Lillian Pollock Ragan, and resided in Macon all his life.

Ronald devoted the majority of his working life to a career as a truck driver, a profession that he pursued with unwavering commitment. In his younger days, Ronald loved driving racecars and go-karts, this passion was not only a hobby but a significant part of his identity. He eagerly shared his love for the sport, teaching his son, Chuck, the art of racing go-karts. Ronald was Chuck’s biggest fan throughout his racing career, offering encouragement, guidance, and tremendous pride in every race.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Nancy Ragan Whitten.

He is survived by his only son, Ronald "Chuck" Charles Ragan, Jr.
