Ruby May Cox, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Oxley Park Health & Rehab following complications from an injury. She was born on November 16, 1945, in Putnam County, Indiana, and in 1964 married the love of her life, C.H. Cox. Together, they were blessed with three children.

In 1983, Ruby and her family made Lyons their home. She worked alongside her husband in their local business before taking on a position as a bus driver with Lyons Conservative Services. Her skill and dedication behind the wheel led her to participate in a bus rodeo competition, where she ultimately took first place. Later, Ruby went on to work with Walmart for more than a decade.

Known for her warm heart and love for people, Ruby cherished time spent with her family and found joy in tending her beautiful flower gardens. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, C.H. Cox.

Left to treasure her memory are her son, Harman Dewayne Cox of Orlando, FL; two daughters, Christine Annette Cox of Lyons and Victoria Pearl McCullough of Cobbtown; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous friends she made along life’s journey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 13476 Evergreen Road, Cobbtown, GA.
