Ruth Ellen McCall
Ruth Ellen McCall, born January 16, 1955, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on September 24, 2026.
She was the beloved daughter of Hazel DeVane Henley and Paul Edward DeVane and the devoted wife of Gary McCall for 48 years.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Monica Freeman, and her husband, Danny; her son, Trent McCall; her grandchildren, Kyle, Ethan, and Lucas Freeman, Logan Black, and Jacob McCall; and her cherished great-grandson, Kyle Jr. “KJ” Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward DeVane and Glenn DeVane. She is survived by her brothers, Donnie DeVane, Rex DeVane, and Alan DeVane; her sisters, Shelby Brinson, Nelda Sue Butler, Bridget Elaine Egli, and Georgia Nichols; and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth found great joy and companionship in her dogs and treasured the time she shared with her family and friends. Her love, faith, and gentle spirit will remain a lasting part of the lives of all who knew and loved her.
Her family takes comfort in God’s promises and in the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”
— John 14:27; John 16:22
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Until we meet again, I love you, Mom.
