Samuel "Timie" Lamb

Samuel “Timie” Lamb, affectionately known as Rambler, age 65, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at Memorial Health surrounded by his loving family.  Timie was born in Savannah on November 6, 1958, and had lived in Claxton for the past 33 years.  He had several jobs during his working career.  He was a “grave digger” for Murray NeSmith, a mechanic and a truck driver for 49 years.  He was the owner and operator of Justin and Austin Trucking.  Timie enjoyed cutting grass, fishing, watching westerns and seeing about his k9 companions, Dee and Kennie.  He was a dedicated member of the Ezel Lodge #335 and was preceded in death by his parents, Eulas and Mildred Lamb and Willie Mae Bradley; his wife of 32 years, Alma Price Lamb; sons, Austin Matteson and Bradley Clifton; and his siblings, Danny Lamb and Mary Lou Moore.

He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Justin and Calli Price of Claxton; siblings, Betty Ivey of NC, Mary Phillips of Statesboro, Teddy (Maria) Tapley of Collins, Mary Phillips of Statesboro, Brenda (Pops) Browning of Statesboro, Lessie Barron and Linda Dawson both of Collins, Connie Hackel of Vidalia; numerous nieces and nephews that were all special to Timie.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the funeral home.  Graveside Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30pm from the Brewton Cemetery in Hagan.  Masonic Rites will be rendered by the Ezel Lodge #335.

Pallbearers will be Matt Ulmer, Samuel Sikes, Dustin Meeks, Phillip Mincey, Charles Sikes, Cody Rhiner, Tyler Adams, and Daniel Anderson

Honorary pallbearers will be Eli Kennedy; brothers of the Ezel Lodge #335, 1st of the 214th Field Artillery, 1st of the 118th Field Artillery, the Georgia Army National Guard and officers of the Motor Carrier Compliance Division

Memorials may be given to The Masonic Home for Children, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211
