Sandra Carol (Pritchett) Gouldsmith

Sandy “Grandma” Gouldsmith, age 68, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.  She was born on August 4, 1954, in Ontario, Oregon and had lived in Claxton most of her life.  She was an owner/operator of a trucking business, contracted to Prime, Inc.  Not only did she give tirelessly of herself traversing the country, she did so with extreme caution and care for other motorist on the roads.  Sandy was awarded a Million Mile Safe driving award.  She was devoted to her family and especially loved the holidays when everyone made extra efforts to be together.  In her free time, she loved a good television series, and was on the forefront of the “binge watching” craze.  Above all else though, her grandbabies were her world, and she relished each moment spent with them.  She served the Lord and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.  Dependable in her work, devoted to her family, and dedicated to God; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Sandy is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Gouldsmith; her children, Raymond, and Monica Gouldsmith; and her mother-in-law, Marian Guin.

She is survived by her daughter, Christina Jimenez of Claxton; her grandchildren, Brittney, Monica, Joey, Aleigha, Stephanie, and Mario; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2023, from the hours of 3:00pm to 7:00pm at the Glennville Funeral Home.
