Mrs. Sonya Kitita Dozier, age 58, passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Savannah, Georgia on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Sonya was born on July 14, 1965 in Savannah, Georgia to the late Henry Harmon Williams Jr. and Alice Dorothy (Ursery)Williams. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother "Na", sister, aunt and friend. Sonya enjoyed spending time with her husband of 43 years, Randy Dozier, her kids, and family. Spending time with her two grandsons, Ethan and Jackson was what brought her the most happiness. She enjoyed shopping for loved ones, sitting outside on the porch with her sweet tea and eating soggy chips soaked in cheese dip and wiggly fries. If she was not with family, you could find her shopping at the local Goodwill, Walmart or dollar stores. She will always be remembered for her never-ending love, big personality (stubbornness), sense of humor, and honest opinion.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Angel Baby (1991); two brothers, Dewayne Williams and Ricky Williams; one sister Linda; and her in-laws John and Alfreda Dozier.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Randy Dozier; three sons, Jonathan Dozier, Joseph Dozier (Beth), and Justin Dozier (Courtney); her daughter, Sarah Burrell ( Nathanael ); two grandsons, Ethan Burrell and Jackson Dozier ; four sisters, Tammy Whalley ( Billy ), Cathy Kelehar, and Hilda and Sheeran; two brothers, Henry Williams, III and Jerry Williams and many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will held at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial in
Reidsville GA.
