Terry Gene Iddins, age 83, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, under the compassionate care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. Terry was born in Eufaula, Alabama on January 7, 1943, to Cecil Henry Iddins, Sr. and Ruby Nell Conner, and lived in Reidsville for most of his life.
Terry graduated from Collins High School in 1960, then soon after went into the Air Force and served for 4 years. He then entered into the Civil Service for the Fire Department and worked for 36 years as a Crew Chief. He loved to hunt and fish but he especially enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He was known to be a jokester, it was said you would know real soon if he liked you.
Terry was of the Baptist faith and is preceded in death by his son, Bryan Willoughby; sister, Karen Calhoun; and brother, Cecil Iddins, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Teresa Clark of Louisiana, Mitchell Iddins (Jessica) of Louisiana, Gwen Bueling of Washington, Terry Iddins, Jr. of Louisiana, Greg Willoughby, Brandee Iddins both of Lyons, GA, and Charlie Iddins (Kristy) of Reidsville, GA; sisters, Cindy Brown (Dennis) of North Carolina, Laruth Sutton (Billy) of Metter, 14 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 5 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 6 p.m.
