Timothy Elijah White

Timothy E. White, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Meadows Heath Memorial Hospital under the compassionate care of Community Hospice. A native of Stilson, GA, Timothy was born on January 16, 1942, to Titus and Mary White and resided in Bulloch County.

Timothy lived by his faith and devoted many years to attending and working in church. Mr. White was a member of Holy Church of God in Savannah for 26 years, Cedar Crossing Church of God for many years, Lott's Creek Church of God for 11 years, and Vidalia Church of God until the Lord called him home. Faith was a guiding force in Timothy's life where he found comfort and community in the congregation.

Mr. White spent many years in the Air National Guard 165th Airlift Wing as a metal processing specialist. After his service, he became a carpenter for C.F. Tyler Construction Company and Plamah Home Builders, before working as a plumber for Bulter Plumbers. He then entered at Easterlings & Stephens as a sheet metal worker, then Erickson for 14 years Local #27 & Local #85. In 1978, he started with Southern Nuclear (Plant Hatch) and continued there for 28 years, working 20 years as a Nuclear Mechanic and 8 years in materials. Timothy then retired on February 21, 2006, to enjoy bass fishing, giving back to the community with a fish fry, wood working, building handicap ramps for Open Door to Handicap, gardening, watching and attending countless UGA Football games, and spending precious time with his grandchildren. Timothy cared for his community deeply and was a member of the Altamaha Ambassadors, he was on the Board of Directors for Open Doors to Handicap, a member of the American Legion Post 97, and a member of Friendship Class VCOG.

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Eliana McKenzie White; and sister, Betty Ann (White) Waters.

Timothy is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Sylvia White; sons, Timothy L. (Vicki) White and Kevin D. (Amanda) White; daughter, Sonya (Jake) Entrekin; grandchildren, Austin White, Trevor White, Chase Entrekin, and Riley Entrekin; great grandchildren, Cooper White and Walker White; as well as his brother, Larry E. (Sandra) White.

Family will receive friends at Vidalia Church of God on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Revs. Steven Toole, Gilbert Womack, and Jerry Lightsey sharing God's word. Interment will take place at Cedar Crossing Church of God Cemetery immediately following funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Joe Pearce, Monty Edwards, Al Manning, Elmer Steedley, Tom Kight, Rusty Sears, and Roy Hitchcock.
