Timothy Bryan Willoughby, Sr., age 51, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Savannah Hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 22, 1973, and had lived in Reidsville many years until moving to Savannah several years ago.
Bryan graduated from Reidsville High School in 1993, embarking on a diverse career path that saw him take on many roles throughout his lifetime. He worked diligently at several local businesses, including IPW, Ace Hardware, Ithaca, IGA, Farmers Furniture, Fulgham Fiber, and most recently, Container Maintenance in Rincon, before his health began to decline. His commitment to his work was evident in every position he held.
A strong advocate for community involvement, Bryan served on the Reidsville Fire Department, demonstrating his dedication not only to his job but also to the safety and well-being of his neighbors. His contributions to the community reflected his generous spirit and concern for others.
Bryan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby Iddins.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joy Wellman Willoughby of Savannah; his parents, Roger Sharpe of Reidsville, Brenda Cruz of Lyons and Terry Iddins of Reidsville; his children, Timothy Willoughby, Jr. and Tara Ann Willoughby both of Savannah; his bonus daughter, Brittany (John) Barker of Griffin, GA, his siblings, Greg Willoughby of Lyons, Charlie (Christy) Iddins and Terry Iddins all of Reidsville, Mitchell (Jessica) Iddins of Louisiana, Brandee Iddins of Vidalia, Teresa Plum Clark and Gwen Bueling both of Washington; nieces and nephews, Madison (Eddie) Alvarado, Mason Query, Caleb, Colt, and Peyton Iddins and several more nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to honor Bryan's life will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2025, at Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville, Georgia. The service will commence at 11:00 a.m. and is open to all who wish to pay their respects and celebrate the life of a cherished friend, colleague, and community member.
Memorials may be given to the Reidsville Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of the Donor's choice.
