Tommy Oliver, age 57, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton. He was born in Beaufort, SC on November 28, 1967, and had lived in Tattnall County most of his life.
For many years, Tommy made significant contributions to the construction industry, specializing in sheetrock. He had the privilege of working alongside respected individuals, such as Dewayne Harrelson and Gene Day, which enriched his professional journey and allowed him to leave an indelible mark on the projects he was involved in.
In addition to his work, Tommy was a devoted enthusiast of sports. He passionately supported the Georgia Bulldogs, reveling in the thrilling moments of college football. He also held a deep admiration for NASCAR and was a devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt, celebrating the spirit and excitement of racing that brought so many together. His greatest passion was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Tommy is a member of Mt. Moriah Church and is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Oliver and his sister, Renee Phillips.
He is survived by his mother, Dean Spikes of Reidsville; his children, Lyndsey Crabtree of Glennville and Chad (Chasity) Oliver of Augusta; sisters, Kathy (Ronnie) Clark and Cindy (Ricky) Willis all of Reidsville; grandchildren, Cassidy, Cayden, and Chancy Crabtree, Jorja Akins and Christopher Thomas Nelson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 5, 2026, beginning at 1:00pm with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm with Rev. Michael Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Low Country Cremation and Burial to help the family with the funeral expenses.
