Travis C. Waters, age 82 of Glennville passed away on Friday morning, September 25, 2026. A heart stopped here on this earth and the Lord Jesus Christ met Travis C. Waters at the pearly gates to welcome him to his heavenly home. Travis was born on October 1, 1943 in Orlando, Florida to Clarence and Ruby Blocker Waters. He was their oldest and only son. He grew up in Orlando and spent some years of his childhood in the Glennville area. He graduated from Ocoee High School in 1964. He served in the Army reserves for many years.

He met his wife of 61 years, Connie Adams Waters in night school. He worked for many years side by side with his wife and her parents, Buford and Gladys Adams in the citrus business. When his in-laws retired, he went to work with Bordens Dairy as a truck driver for over 16 years and while at Bordens he drove over a million miles with no accidents. They closed the plant in Orlando and he then went to driving a truck for PCA where he worked for many years. He retired and worked part time with Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Winter Garden, Florida.

He moved to Glennville area in 2009 to be close to his daughter. In his retirement, he enjoyed going to car shows and sitting at home watching car shows, Pawn Stars and NCIS. He loved his Hubba Bubba bubble gum and the Florida Gators Football team. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Hulda Casteal and his son-in-law, Jimmy Marcum.

He leaves behind his wife, Connie Waters of Glennville; daughter, Tami Marcum of Glennville; granddaughter, Tara (Jeff) Caputo of Huntsville, AL; grandson, Lewis Van Meter of Dallas, GA; sisters, Pam (Mike) Clanton of Pensacola, FL, Katie (Sammy) Bush of Gallatin, TN; two cousins he loved like brothers, Charles Blocker and Loy Blocker both of Glennville. Along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends beginning at 6:00pm on Monday, September 28, 2026 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 from the Chapel of Glennville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Harmony Church Cemetery.
