Vera Pearl Tillman

Lyons

Mrs. Vera Pearl Tillman, age 72, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Community Hospice in Vidalia following a brief illness. Born on May 2, 1954, in Toombs County, Georgia, Vera was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Robinson and Daisy Mae Tillman. She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Phillips Temple Church of God in Christ. Later in life, she faithfully attended Macedonia Church in Lyons, where she continued to nurture her faith.

Vera was known for her strong work ethic and dedication. She was employed for more than fifteen years with Oxford, Federal Pacific, and Trane in Vidalia. After leaving the workforce, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to caring for her family as a loving mother and homemaker.

She attended Lyons Senior High School before furthering her education at Swainsboro Technical College, where she earned her diploma in cosmetology. In her leisure time, Vera enjoyed watching sports, keeping up with her favorite daytime television programs, and relaxing with classic western movies. More than anything, she cherished the time spent with her family, creating memories that will forever be treasured. Though she has departed this earthly life, Vera's unwavering faith, quiet strength, and deep love for her family will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved, and she will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter, Passion Tillman, and her great grandson, Teddrick Strowbridge, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Desi Mobley (Sabrina), Rapheal Tillman (Ni'chelle), Travares Tillman (Kiki), and Rashuna Tillman (Eric); her siblings, Robert Robinson (Carolyn) of Capitol Heights, Maryland, Henry Robinson (Jackie) of East Dublin, Isaac Robinson, Chevalier Burley, Tomara Nichols (Starlin), and Patricia Calhoun Fuller (Chip) of Jesup; her grandchildren, Shaquita (Shakur), Tabitha, Mercedes (Xavier), Justin, Brandon, Desi, Jr. (Aniya), Mason (Mercedes), Dahntay, Jazmine, Elijah, Atticus, Harper, Saint, Erin, Kierra, and Marquis (Savannah); her great grandchildren, Shiloh, Antwan, Hunter, Leilanni, Milani, Amaris, Emeri, Javion, Zy'mir, Val, and Ash; her nieces and nephews, John, Antoine, Delante, Thez, Jonathan, O'Shea (Daysiah), Tomond (Charis), and Tyler; her cherished goddaughters, Lashawn and Whitney Fletcher; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.
