Vickie Jean Shuman, a beloved mother, daughter, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025. Vickie was born on July 13, 1959, in Claxton, GA.
Vickie grew up in Reidsville, GA on the family farm. She loved being outdoors and was given the nickname of “Tarzan” by those who knew her the best. She also loved playing basketball and was an outstanding marksman that could outshoot most of the local boys.
Vickie attended Reidsville High School and afterwards moved to Ocala, FL where she was a proud graduated of Central Florida Community College. After college she went on to work for Closet Maid as an Inventory Specialist until she recently retired.
Vickie will be dearly missed by her surviving family: her daughter, Nicole Shuman and her grandson, Kaleb Shuman; her mother, Winona Shuman; sisters, Cheryl Josey, Anita Vickery, and Teresa McDonald; brother, Richard Shuman.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ward Shuman.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted 1:00pm on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the Reidsville City Cemetery with Mr. Jackie Trim officiating.
Low Country Cremation and Burial has the honor to serve the Shuman family.
