Vivian Elaine Howard

Vivian Elaine Howard, age 79, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at Tattnall Healthcare in Reidsville.  The lifelong resident of Tattnall County was born on May 16, 1947, to Ralph and Ollie Kate Reynolds Iddins.

A 1965 graduate of Glennville High School, Vivian went on to work for many years in Civil Service at Fort Stewart. She was known for her thoughtful and caring nature, expressed in part through her card ministry. She was always sending cards of acknowledgment and sympathy, offering comfort, encouragement, and remembrance to so many through those simple but meaningful acts of kindness.

To all who knew her, Vivian was “Mema.” She loved all of her family deeply, especially her son and grandson, and that love was at the heart of the way she lived. Her warmth, devotion, and generous spirit will be remembered by those whose lives she touched.

Vivian attended Northside Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmy Howard; and her sister, Janice Grimes.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Wallace "Stacy" Howard, Jr. of Glennville; her grandson, Dalton Wallace Howard of Glennville; special sisters in law, Kathy Nobles and Joy Love both of Glennville; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 24, 2026 beginning at 6:00pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 9:00am on Friday, September 25, 2026 from the Chapel of the Glennville Funeral Home with the Reverend Kenny Edwards officiating.  Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Mobley, Scott Nobles, Dennis Wilkins, Mike Howard, John Howard and Ray Wallace.
