Vondell McNair

Mrs. Vondell S. McNair, age 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 18, 2026, and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A lifelong resident of Tattnall County, she made her home in Collins for many years and was a graduate of Draughon’s Business College in Savannah.

Mrs. McNair was a woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Collins where her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived her life each day. Known for her gentle spirit, compassion, and kindness, she devoted much of her life to caring for those she loved most, faithfully tending to her husband and son during their later years with remarkable strength and selflessness. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Frank McNair; her son, Danny McNair; and her great grandson, Caleb Judah King.

Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her son, Jerry (Margie) McNair of Savannah; granddaughters, Sarah (Jonathan) King of Peachtree Corners and Rachel McNair of Savannah; along with several extended family members and many friends whose lives were touched by her loving and caring nature.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 o’clock in the morning on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Collins Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Kimbrell officiating.

Mrs. McNair will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
