William Edward Thornton
June 11, 1948 — March 28, 2015
William “Bill” Thornton, age 66, passed away Saturday, March 28,2015 after an extended illness. The Clermont Kentucky native moved to the Macon area 24 years ago. Bill was a US Army Veteran and retiree from Jefferson County KY, where he was a corrections officer. In his free time he loved to fish.
Left behind to mourn his loss are his wife of over 20 years, Linda Ann Thornton of Macon; 3 sons, James, Kevin, and David Thornton all of Shepherdsville KY; 2 sisters, Susie Thornton and Darlene (Joe) Johnson of Shepherdsville KY. Other relatives also survive.
A private interment service is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
Low Country Cremation Services & Burial is serving the Thornton family.
