Wilma "Tootie" J. Walden

Wilma "Tootie" J. Walden, age 60 of Reidsville passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Memorial Health University Medical Center under the care of Georgia Hospice Care. Wilma was born on March 31, 1966 in Claxton to Walter and Linda Juene (Durrence) Grooms and had lived most of her life in Tattnall County. She was an animal lover, a good cook and an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. Tootie never met a stranger, loved everyone she met and was a good friend to all. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Walden and her three sisters, Deborah Thompson, Melinda Hollis and Angela Kuhns. 

She is survived by her three brothers, Edward Connatser of Bainbridge, Clifford Connatser of Glennville and Gary Grooms of Savannah; sister, Mildred Grooms of Reidsville; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am, Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with funeral services to follow at 12:00pm with the Reverend Dr. Chuck Jonas officiating. Interment will be private.
