Annie Bell

May 15, 1933 — June 25, 2021

Mother Annie Laura Bell was born May 15, 1933, in Glenwood, Georgia, to the late Ervin & Laura Davis.  Mother Bell attended the historic Roswall School (old school) in Ailey, Georgia.  Mother Bell was well loved by her community and family.  She was a surrogate mother to many.  Her biggest passion was family and she dedicated her life just showing love. You can do anything, as in her words, “Walk by faith and not by sight.” She was a strong believer in living by the Golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. She was a God-fearing woman that served God no matter what, and
everybody knew her by Mrs. Bell or Big Mama.

Mother Bell dedicated her life to the Lord at an Early age.  She joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in McGregor, Georgia, where she served as a faithful usher and choir member for many years. In 2002, she joined Bondage Free Deliverance Ministries, serving as a church Mother, under leadership of Pastor Theron Bell, Sr., and then later became State Mother of The City of Refuge Fellowship under the leadership of Apostle DeMario J. Bell, Sr.

Mother Bell worked in manufacturing as a head seamstress for 30 years, and then she retired early.  Mother Bell, for many of years, took a hard time and showed love to the community by making clothes for people in the community who could not afford to buy them.  Mother Bell was a hairstylist for many years, and she loved to do hair.  She loved to cook, making sure nobody in her community was without food, and she welcomed you in her home to eat if you were hungry.

Mother Bell was a mother of wisdom for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and others.  She had a heart for all people.  She was truly a virtuous woman, a woman of family, a woman of love, and a woman of God. One of her greatest quotes was, “Trust in the Lord with all the heart and He shall direct your path. I came this far by Faith, leaned in and depending on Jesus. There have been many ups and downs but my faith came a mighty long way.”

Mother Bell leaves to mourn and cherish two sons, Pastor Theron Bell, Sr. of Higgston, Georgia and Roy Lee Bell, Sr. of Killeen, Texas; five daughters, Ann Burton, Mary Henderson, Annette Rawls, Mary Ann Kyles, all of Vidalia, Georgia, and Evangelist Losetta Canty of Killeen Texas; a son-in-law, Arthur Woodard of Vidalia and a host of
grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
