Connie Ward Whittington

Mrs. Whittington went to her heavenly home peacefully on Oct. 19th at Fairview Park Hospital.  Connie was born on February 7, 1938 to the late Claude and Fannie Daniel Savage. After the death of her first husband, Hilton M. Ward, she became the owner and operator of Ward’s Delivery Service. She married Mr. James Whittington later in life. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, James Whittington, her parents, her daughter Katrina Ward Greenway, her son Wayne Ward, her granddaughter, Melissa Greenway Blackshear, and two brothers, Joseph Claude Savage and Alvin Savage.

Left to cherish Connie’s Memory are her daughter, Angela Ward and James’ devoted children, Phil (Melba) Whittington, Stan (Rob) Whittington, Mitchell (Crystal) Whittington, and Sonya (Shawn) Sterling. Connie is also survived by , her grandchildren, David (Marsha) Greenway, Vanessa (Stephen) Smith, Jacob (Kelli) Whittington, Chace Whittington, Cole Whittington, Seaton Sterling, and Daniel (Jodi) Knight. Her ten great grandchildren, Kourtney (Brandon) Bailey, Tayler (John) Howell, Ashtyne Johnson, Conner Johnson, Hilton Greenway, Tristan Greenway, Paxton Whittington, Marla Whittington, Gage Whittington, and Beau Smith. Also by 11 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Connie Ward Whittington will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Oct. 25th, 2021 at Northview Cemetery in Dublin, GA with Reverend Robert Rogers officiating.
