A time to be born…

Mr. Edward Hall, Sr. was born August 23, 1952.  He was one of the twelve children born of the union of the late Mr. Henry Norman and Mrs. Macie Lee Collins of Collins GA.

A time to learn…

Edward was a graduate of Ben Hill County School System.  After graduation he joined the military.

A time to work…

Edward joined the United States Army where he served his country for a few years, after that he worked as an EMT and nurse in Candler County.  He later worked in construction until he was physically unable.

A time to live…

Edward was united in Holy Matrimony to Lila “Sue” Dekle on December 7, 1978, this union created two children; Aree and Ed Jr. after twenty plus years of marriage they parted ways but remained close friends.

A time to die…

Mr. Edward Hall was called to rest during the night of April 8, 2022.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Henry Norman, and Mrs. Macie Lee Collins; two brothers, Melvin, and Terrance Collins; one sister, Carolyn Mitchell.

He leaves behind to cherish precious memories, one son, Edward (Theonka) Hall, Jr. of Metter; one daughter, Aree (Curtis) Byrd of Warner Robins; four grandchildren, Edriuntae Hall, Saraiyan Hall, Demarco Eason, and Jahshua Washington; a great granddaughter, D’Rai Eason; two brothers, Harriel (Mattie) Hall of Macon and Henry (Annie Ruth) Norman Collins of Vidalia; six sisters, Mary (Ralph) Rhymes of Collins, Andrea (Otis) McIntosh of Glennville, Amliy (Terry) Clark of Collins, Twanda Morgan of Collins, Annie Collins of Lyons, and Minnie (Willie) Collins of Collins; a brother-in-law, Donald Clark; a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends also survive.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 15, 2022, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with Rev. E. Harris, presiding and Rev. Otto Lewis, Eulogist.  Interment will follow in the family plot at Wilkerson Cemetery in Collins.

Low Country Cremation & Burial is serving the Hall family during their time of bereavement.
