Mr. Edward J. “Mack” Mackinnon, age 69, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on June 03, 1951 in Bronx, New York to Thomas J. and Helen Mackinnon.  He retired as a Sergeant with the United States Army.  Mack lived a short period of time after his military service in Pennsylvania before moving to Glennville in 1993.  He had also worked at Smith State Prison as a mechanic.  He loved piddling and helping others.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Mackinnon and a stepson; Billy Wood.

Mack is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mildred A. Mackinnon of Glennville; stepchildren, Steven Anderson, Debra (Ellis) Futch, Jerry “Tiny” Brazell all of Glennville, Rickie (Billie) Wood of Ohio, Mary Ann Boone of Glennville and Kathryn (John) Acre of North Carolina; siblings, Kathleen Mackinnon, Thomas Mackinnon and Joseph Mackinnon all of New Jersey; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Monday, February 22, 2021 with the funeral services to follow at 3:00pm with the Dr. Rick Cason officiating.  Interment will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
