Ethel Pearl (Cowart) Sikes

Ethel Cowart Sikes, age 98, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 after battling COVID-19. The Toombs County native lived many years in Appling and Glynn Counties before moving to Reidsville in 1980, following her retirement from Shoney’s. In as many years as she could attend, Ethel was a faithful member of Inman Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Peter Carter and Peyton Sikes, a son Robert Carter, Jr., and a stepson, Wendell Sikes.

Left to remember a lifetime of love are several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends made along a nearly century long lifespan.

Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, November 9, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial in Reidsville.
