Florence Charlotte “BABE” Smith Keller

Babe was born in Hicksville New York to John Henry Smith and Florence Gertrude Elliott Smith, she was her daddy’s “BABE” and that nickname lasted her entire lifetime. Babe married her husband Chuck Keller after only knowing him for 30 days. In fact, she accepted his marriage proposal on their first date and did not even know his last name! Babe is a child of the One True King as she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at the age of 73!  Babe was an active member of Cadwell Baptist Church in Cadwell, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, John Henry Smith Jr., her husband, Constantine “Chuck” Charles Keller III and her son, Patrick Elliott Keller. Babe was a daughter, sister, housewife, mom, grandma and great-grandma as well as a beloved friend to so many.

Babe is survived by her son, Michael (Candace) Keller of Plainview Texas; daughter, Ann (Jeff) Topping of Bloomdale Ohio; daughter in law, Leslee Keller of Green Cove Springs FL; 10 grandchildren, Christopher (Audra) Keller, Quinn (Tara) Keller, Meredith (Graham) Dickinson, Shawn (Liz) Padgett, Casey Padgett, Jeffrey (Molly) Topping Jr., Matthew Topping, Heath Topping, Isabella Topping, Gracie Topping; Five great-grandchildren, Kaysen Keller, Skyler Keller, Everett Brave Keller, Nicholas Padgett, Tyler Padgett and of course her dog Chipper! Babe has two surviving sisters, Elizabeth Utschig and Maureen (Tom) Hoxie along with 20 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on November 14, 2020 at Cadwell Baptist Church, Cadwell, Georgia at 11:00am. Officiating jointly will be Rev. Jeff  Topping Sr.,  Rev. JT Taylor and Rev. Larry McNatt.
