Franklin Albert Bradham, Sr., age 80, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s disease.  The Tattnall County native was born on November 24, 1941, to the late Forest Albert and Ethel Mae (Lane) Bradham.  His formative years were spent in the Tattnall County school system.  In his professional career, he was a long-time long haul truck driver.  In his time on the road, he was able to see much of the beauty and promise that America has to offer.  He would move to Toombs County later in his life to raise his family and when he was at home, he relished the time he could spend with them.   Following his retirement, his fur baby, Daisy would not only become his best friend, but the one who would save his life.  Early in his onset with Alzheimer’s, Franklin went missing.  Daisy would ultimately be the one that led the authorities to his location just in time to save him from the freezing cold temperatures of the day.  A gentle giant of a man who faced adversity with courage and love, he will be deeply missed.  He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Henry, and Larry Bradham; and a sister, Eloise Bradham.

Left to cherish a lifetime of precious memories is his daughter, Theresa (Drew) Jones of Adrian; son, Franklin Albert Bradham, Jr., of Sumner GA; two grandchildren, Kayla Deloach of Reidsville, and Cheyenne Jones of Adrian; a great grandchild, Bryleigh Ann Deloach of Reidsville; a sister, Carol Schell of Simpsonville SC; a special friend and long-time companion, Mary Beckworth of Lyons; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with the Rev. Dr. Chuck Jonas officiating.

Interment will take place at Mt. Moriah Church Cemetery.
