Herman T. Stubbs, age 72, passed away on July 7, 2021, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. The Tattnall County native lived the majority of his life in Tattnall County; only moving to Metter after the untimely death of his sister in 2019. Herman was best known for his kind and loving disposition. All who knew him would attest to how humble and kind he was. Additionally, he loved country music. Among his prized possessions were his collection of albums, cassette tapes, and CDs of his favorite artists. Lyrically he could name title and artist of songs faster than anyone! Herman was a sweet soul and bright light in the lives of all he touched; he will be deeply missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Geneva Wilds; three brothers, Bill, Tom, and Harry Stubbs; three sisters, Novie Jean Deal, Jettie Stubbs Tootle, and Nadine S. Anderson.
Left to cherish fond memories are his brother, Henry (Pat) Stubbs of Missouri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends also survive.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
