Obituary

Reidsville,

Ivan Pichardo, age 18, passed away Thursday May 14, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Statesboro on May 27, 2001 to Jose and Laurie Pichardo.  The 2019 graduate of Tattnall County High School was a beloved alumn.  During his years at the school, he was on the soccer team and ran cross country.  In addition to being a skilled athlete, he was a dedicated student who went on to dual enroll in the welding program at Southeastern Technical College.  Upon graduation, he was immediately able to begin work applying his welding skills at Chemtall in Riceboro.  Everyone that knew Ivan would recall his infectious smile and his ability to make those around him laugh.  Some would even classify him as a “jokester” and you could never be certain what he would come up with!  Ivan was dearly loved by his family and all will deeply miss his bright spirit.  He was a member of St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church in Reidsville.  He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jose Cruz Pichardo.

Left to cherish the memories made are his parents, Jose (Ana deCarmen) Pichardo and Laurie Pichardo all of Reidsville; siblings, Adrian Pichardo and Jasmine Pichardo both of Reidsville; Paternal grandmother, Catalina Garcia of Mexico and maternal grandmother, Juneth Girton of Reidsville; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The family is giving the friends an opportunity to view Ivan on Saturday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted noon on Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Reidsville City Cemetery with Father Ben Dallas officiating.
