James Featherstone Howard

James F. Howard, age 36, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Optim Medical Center Tattnall.  The Warner Robins native grew up in a military household, living in various parts of the world before finally being able to attend and ultimately graduate from Perry High School.  His high school years definitely saw him develop his hobbies and interests.  Throughout high school he was an active member of the FFA, even winning statewide awards for his efforts.  Following graduation, he went on to study and graduate from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Construction Management.  James loved being outdoors and all that entailed.  No matter if it were playing golf or kayaking; hiking or hunting, as long as he was outdoors, he was happy!  Additionally, James was a skilled artist; his free hand drawings both on paper and other mediums were the envy of adults and children alike!  Above all else though, James had a huge heart for his family.  He was a loving son and brother, but the title he cherished most was that of Dad.  James loved his son, Hudson, with all his being and it was apparent for all to see.  A free spirit that was a friend to all and stranger to none; he will be deeply missed.  He is preceded in death by his stepfather, Dan Luton; paternal grandparents, Dr. William R. and Sugarbaby Howard; and maternal grandfather, William Thomas.

Left to cherish precious memories are his son, Hudson Howard of Reidsville; mother Janice Luton of Reidsville; father, Jim (Sherri) Howard of Hawkinsville; brother, Jacob Howard of Reidsville; Grandmother Hubbard of Oregon; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and other relatives also survive.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Low Country Cremation & Burial with the Rev. Jeffrey Barnard officiating.

Interment will follow the funeral at Pinegrove Baptist Church Cemetery.
