Janette (Blocker) Howard

Mrs. Janette Blocker Howard, age 76, passed away Friday, October 30, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on September 30, 1944 in Glennville to Lee Hugh and Janie Ruth Sands Blocker and had lived in Long County most of her life.  Mrs. Janette was a Child Care Provider for many years and loved to go fishing.  Her favorite pastime was to watch her grandsons play ball.  She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glennville and is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Mearl “Bo” Blocker.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Mr. Jerry C. Howard; children, Lee (Sandra) Howard, Lynette (Wendell) Colson and Michelle (Stuart) Bland all of Long County; sister, Janice Todd of Glennville; grandchildren, Jerrod (Diedra) Howard, Ethan (Allee) Colson, Westley (Jessica) Bland, Jordan (Morgan) Bland, Dylan Colson and Adam Bland; great grandchildren, Ella and Sophia Bland, Maggie Bland, Saylor and Anna Deloach, Jaylyn Fuller and Avery Kate Colson; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted 3:00pm, Monday November 2, 2020 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverends Tommy Kelly and Bryan Anderson officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jerrod Howard, Ethan Colson, Westley Bland, Jordan Bland, Dylan Colson and Adam Bland.

Memorials may be given to Donor’s choice.
