Obituary

 Statesboro

Kathleen LaNelle Barber, age 81 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 16, 2023, after a long illness. She was born in Nahunta, GA on March 16, 1941 to Bernie and Kathleen Mikell Waters. Miss Nell, as she was affectionately called, had an in-home daycare for many years and was owner/operator of LaNelle's Creations in Statesboro and Register. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Merrywood Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Billy L. Barber; her children, Cathy Dianne McDonald, Terry L. Barber (Gracie) and Ricky P. Barber all of Statesboro; two brothers, Michael Waters of Statesboro and Bernie E. Waters of San Diego CA; five grandchildren, Kathleen Brannen, Jessica Harrelson, Christopher Anderson, Robert Anderson all of Statesboro and Brandon Anderson of Port Wentworth; six great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
