Kristy Lynn Parker, age 41, passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia.  She was born in Waynesboro, GA on December 7, 1979 to Diane Godbee and Ricky Parker.  She was reared in Jefferson County and graduated from High School in 1998 and went on and got an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  Kristy had lived in Swainsboro and Vidalia before settling in Collins in 2010.  She was employed with the Georgia Department of Correction for over 20 years with her last job serving as the Administrative Assistant for the Warden at the Georgia State Prison.  Kristy’s favorite hobbies included shopping and “playing” with her makeup.  She was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her parents, Diane Farrer of Screven County and Ricky Parker of Lyons; her brothers, Scott (April) Parker of Wrens and Rick Parker of Screven County; her significant other, Ricardo Walden of Collins; stepchildren, Lai Lani Walden and Kingslyn Waldlen; and also by many friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from the hours of 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.  Funeral services will be conducted 10:00am Thursday, July 8, 2021 from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with the Reverend Jason Burton officiating.  Interment will follow in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jay Johnson, Joey Clark, Rayshon Jackson, Jaquay Nobles, Johnny McRae, Lamar McRae, Tony Scott and Barry Anthony.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Wilson, Jamey Gates, Whitney Williamson, Ashley Hartmeger, Michelle Moore and Heather Howard.

Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the family and friends of Kristy Lynn Parker.
