Linda Faye (Morgan) Butler

Mrs. Linda Faye (Morgan) Butler was born on February 08, 1958 in Evans County, Georgia to the parents of John Paul and Remell Morgan. She entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at East Georgia Regional Hospital in Statesboro, GA. Mrs. Butler was retired from The Tattnall County Board of Education where she worked with the Pre-school Intervention Program. She was preceded in death by her father, John Paul Morgan and brother, Jerald “Freddie” Morgan.

Mrs. Linda Faye (Morgan) Butler is survived by her husband: Mark Butler, Sr. of Reidsville, Ga. Her loving mother: Remell Morgan of Claxton, Ga. Her six devoted children: Martina (Tavarus Sr.) Fleming of Reidsville, Ga; Shantavis (Tamara) Smith of Ludowici, Ga; Sylthia (Corey Sr.) Colwell of Reidsville, Ga; Mark Butler, Jr. of Reidsville, Ga; Mario (Cherrelle) Butler of Valley Grande, AL; and Sheldrick Butler of Reidsville, Ga. Her 21 grandchildren, 2 great – grandchildren, and 2 God-children: Nicole Johnson and Craige Saxton, Jr. She is also survived by her siblings: Paul Guest of Ohio; Marilyn Morgan of Brunswick, Ga; Beverly Morgan of Statesboro, Ga; and Kelly (Debra) Morgan of Hagan, Ga. Her in-laws: James (Sandra) Butler of Statesboro, Ga; Glady’s (Roger) Jackson of Collins, Ga; Louis (Lutwinder) Butler of Lyons, Ga; Patricia Brewton of Pooler, Ga; Lenton (Bonnie) Butler of Reidsville, Ga; Gwen (Charlie) Mydell of Rincon, Ga; and Marva Butler of Reidsville, Ga. She is survived by one uncle: Leroy Roberts of Claxton, Ga.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday September 03, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Reidsville City Cemetery with Pastor Louis Butler, Jr. officiating. Interment will immediately follow.

Pallbearers will be Sheldrick Butler, Mario Butler, Shantavis Smith, Craige Saxton, Jr., Corey Colwell, Sr., and Tavarus Fleming, Sr.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jalon Smith, Sr., Tavarus Fleming, Jr., Khori Butler, Corey Colwell, Jr., Cobey Colwell, and Jalon Smith, Jr.

Repast will follow the service at: St. Matthew’s Lodge #585 Reidsville, Ga 30453.
