The sun began shining on July 2, 1964 when a beautiful young lady was born to the late Mr. Prince and Mrs. Mattie Cox, and they would name her Mary Ann Cox. Mary Ann was educated and graduated in the Long County School System. She was the fourth of thirteen children. Mary was the proud mother of 5 children. Mary Ann was a hard-worker and provider. Mary Ann was employed for 15 plus years with the Mascot in Glennville, GA. She was a woman that loved life and her family. She was a demonstrator of love, care and compassion to all that knew her. Mary Ann was also a woman of Faith and she was a member of Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church in Claxton, GA.  It would happen on the day of February 12, 2021 that she would enter into eternal rest. She fell asleep after a short illness. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Prince and Mrs. Mattie Cox; one daughter, Kelly Hall; three sisters, Geraldine Robinson, Minnie Pearl Davis, Minnie Lee Smith; four brothers, Jessie Lee Cox, Willie Cox, Lewis Cox, and Martin Cox.

Mary Ann leaves to cherish, her loving children, two sons, Sidney Hall and Lawan Murphy of Glennville; two daughters, Sharon Stokes and Connie Hall of Glennville; six grandchildren, Rayden Lewis, Cayden Lewis, Kelly Stokes, Malaysia Stokes, Arlaysia Stokes and Sariya Hayes; two sisters, Nadine Cox (Lawrence) Moody and Jacqueline Cox Gibbs; three brothers, Tommy C. Cox, Paul W. Cox and Arthur F. Cox. A host of loving cousins, aunts, family and friends also survive.

A visitation will be held 6:00pm to 8:00pm Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00pm, Friday at Green Cypress Baptist Church Cemetery in Claxton with Pastor Abel Huston officiating.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Moody, Prince Moody, Lawrence Moody, Jermaine Gibbs, Arthur Gibbs and Demetrius Jones

Glennville Funeral Home is serving the Hall family.
