Mildred (Hughes) Roland

Mildred Hughes Roland, age 75, of Vidalia, Ga died Saturday, December 11, 2021 at The Oaks – Bethany Nursing Home of Vidalia after a sudden illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton (Carl) Roland, her parents, Daniel Hughes and Ell Bell Johnson Hughes. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and their spouses, Nellie and Cecil Faircloth, Dorothy and Bill Orlang, Lois and Jack Meeks, her brothers Leon, Eddie, Herman and Dannie Hughes, a sister in-law, Martha Hughes, and a brother-in-law Freddie Gay of Augusta.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Williams (LC) of Ailey, GA, Grace Hixon (Tommie) and her brothers Ronnie Hughes (Susan), Marvin Hughes (Judy) all of Augusta, Georgia,  sister in-laws, Kay Hughes of Melrose, FL, Maxine Hughes and Susie Hughes of Augusta, Ga and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on January 8th, 2022 at the Oak Park Cemetery in Oak Park, Ga.
