Reidsville,

Rev. David Moxley, age 64, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Reidsville on September 28, 1956 to Andrew Franklin and Audrey Marie Moxley and had lived there most of his life.  It was clear to all that knew him, Bro.David had a heart for serving.  Serving his country through his service in the Navy, his community as an EMT at Tattnall Memorial Hospital and later working with the Georgia Department of Corrections, but most importantly serving his Lord.  Brother David started a church in the Philippines named Morobord Baptist Church.  Locally, he was the lead pastor at Pinegrove Baptist Church in Reidsville, before being called to his final ministerial position as the pastor of Hope Baptist Church.  Not only did Bro. David work tirelessly in public service and as a Pastor; he was also a farmer.  He raised chickens, cows, and grew various vegetables.  Not only did he have a heart of service, he had a genuine heart to help.  No matter the need, if you ask Brother David for assistance, guidance, or advice, he was always ready and willing to support you.  A friend, a confidant, a brother in Christ, David will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.  He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Haydee Moxley of Reidsville; his daughter and son in law, Gloria and Kyle Sapp of Collins; grandchildren, Jakob (Candice Martinez) Rowland, Kaydee (Parker) Lamb and Wesley Sapp and a great granddaughter, Vivianne Lamb; his in laws in the Philippines that he dearly loved, Rosites Valencia, Julie Dao-ang, Muriel Mallorca, Teresita (Junior) Dao-ang, Reynold (Annie) Mallorca, Nieva (Eddie) Cartagena Ariel (Rima) Mallorca; numerous nieces and nephews.
