After 73 years of enjoying life on this earth, Maitland (Bobby) Johnston departed this life, joining his parents and good friends who had preceded him in death on December 30, 2020.

Maitland (Bobby) was born in Macon, Georgia to Robert Maitland Johnston Sr. and Mary Pearce Johnston On October 27, 1945.  Maitland attended the Lanier High School in Macon, Georgia and was a member of Lamba Tau Beta fraternity. He graduated from Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in 1966, and then attended South Georgia State College in Douglas, Georgia. He attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina. Maitland had a successful sales career and was top national salesman for the Holland Group in their Fifth Wheel division before retiring to Beaufort, South Carolina.  He attended Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Ridgeland, South Carolina.

Maitland is survived by his sister, Jeanne Montgomery Johnston, Greensboro NC and his loving dog, Lash.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later time, in Beaufort or Edisto Island, where his ashes will be scattered.
