Rosalyn Ryals Clark

Mrs. Rosalyn Ryals Clark, age 64, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at the Jeff Davis Hospital in Hazlehurst.  She was born October 12, 1956, in Vidalia to Bernice and Noviadean Todd Ryals and had lived in Toombs County most of her life.  She was the first female police officer in Lyons.  She had also served as a Correctional Officer at Georgia State Prison and retired as the General Manager of the Hampton Inn in Vidalia.  She enjoyed tending to her chickens, fishing, and her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dallas Clark; son, Brandon Clark; grandson, Anthony Kirkland, and a brother, Darnell Ryals.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Clark of Vidalia, Lacy Fulford and her husband, Derrick of Lyons, Becky Kirkland and her husband, Dwayne of Johnson’s Corner, Mikki Kilgore and her husband, Ronnie of Lyons, and Jesse Sharpe and his wife, Dena of Collins; brother, Jeff Ryals and his wife, Renee of Reidsville; grandchildren, Justin, Kaleb, Tommy, Sierra, Dakota, Donnie, Gage, Brodie, Kameron, and Makenzie; 11 great grandchildren; 3 nieces, Meagan Ryals, Maycee Ryals and Raysha Terhar, and a nephew, BJ Ryals.

The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the funeral home with the funeral services to follow at 4:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Reverend Aaron Moncrief officiating.  Interment will be in the Reidsville City Cemetery.

The family will also receive friends on Saturday at Mrs. Rosalyn home beginning at 11:30am.
